One of the things that I tend to start doing around the first part of August is start incorporating orangey tones into my make up….I think using orange tones is a great way to transition from summer to fall when it comes to your beauty routine! This is actually a pretty quick look to pull together because the eye is pretty basic…my eyes always take me the longest which is why I often opt for a minimal eye and bold lip!!
This look can SO easily be take your make up from day to night in a few easy steps too!
I decided to do this post in a photo tutorial format versus a video so that it’s a little bit easier for you to follow and use your own products with! I hope that you find it helpful!
Start with clean, prepped skin by using your favorite moisturizers/primers!
Color correct any problem areas. I just use my finger to apply a little bit of this medium peach toned concealer to cancel out my dark circles under my eyes and then blend a little bit of the green concealer onto any redness/blemishes. Which I have a zillion of at all times basically since pregnancy. lol.
Even out your skin tone with your favorite foundation or moisturizer. I LOVE using a stippling brush for this because it gives a great sheer coverage. You don’t want your makeup to be too cakey in the summer heat!
Adding some dimension back to your face just makes you look more alive! I actually used a pump of my foundation mixed with some bronze cream blush for my brozer and then mixed it with some white concealer to use to brighten!
I bronze around the perimeters of my face, down the sides of my nose, under my bottom lip, and right under my cheekbones. I actually tend to blend my bronzer a tad high in the summer just to make me look a little more tan- I need all the help I can get! I also added a little bit of this bronzer to the creases of my eyes to give them some dimension too!
I brighten under my eyes in a triangle shape, down the bridge of my nose, chin, and the center of my forehead! Don’t forget to set with a powder, especially under your eyes!
Use your favorite blush here! I used a mixture of these two blush shades to add some color back to my face! They were the perfect amount of orange for the look while still being natural.
Use your favorite liquid highlighter to add some shimmer to your cheekbones and any other spots you want to highlight! I tend to add a little bit right about the arch of my brows as well as down the bridge of my nose and cupids bow. I also take my ring finger and dab this shimmer on my eyelids!
Bring shape back to your face by filling in your brows and add as much mascara as you want to open up your eyes! I also did a quick tightline to darken my lashline!
Like I said, I LOVE orangey-tones for the end of summer/early fall because I feel like it transitions SO well between the seasons and also is SO easy to take from day to night!
All I did to carry this look to night time was added some eyeliner, lashes, a little bit more shimmer and earrings! Took me five minutes!
You could totally skip the lashes, but I love these magnetic ones from Nylea because they’re natural looking and easy to apply. I actually went with blue earrings and eye liner just for fun! Since blue and orange are complimentary colors, I love the way these play off of each other!
I actually took a little bit of this glittery lip gloss (don’t worry it’s not super over the top) and applied it to my lips for an extra pop and I ALSO applied it with my ring finger to my cheekbones for an extra pop of sparkle there! A little goes a long way and just made it look dewy and glowy versus sparkly!
