Oh Friends. Today let me tell you if no one else has that YOU, YES YOU ARE SO LOVED. Here are a few truths to remind you of that.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believees in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1
God loved you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you so that you could spend eternity with him.
You are treasured, adored, worthy, special, and loved.
No matter how you are spending your day today, what relationship status you might be in or how you’re feeling tonight, know that God is the only one who can fill your heart. He is the only Love that you need. As a matter of fact, He is Love.
If you have a boyfriend, fiance, or husband today, I encourage you to love on them in all the ways that you can. But DO NOT expect them to fill your heart today or any day. That is SO unfair to them. You can be as in love as humanly possible with your hubby, but without Jesus, you will still feel a nagging emptiness because our human men weren’t made to fill our hearts and truly satisfy us. They never will. But Jesus can and is waiting for you to let Him with open arms. I find that at times when I am the most frustrated with my hubby, Jesus always reminds my heart that I’m trying to fill it with my Husband and not with Him. And oh, what a difference that little switch makes!
On the flip side, you can be as single as ever (I was until like .5 seconds ago lol) and feel a little sad about that today, but also be truly complete, satisfied, and happy. I spent many Valentine’s Days feeling that way as well.
So whatever you’re feeling today, I want you to know that you are seen, you are sought after, and you are deeply, wholly loved by the King of Kings.
I would love to talk to you about this if you have questions about what I mean by this- feel free to e-mail me!
